Michele has an extensive background in movement and is
inspired by many disciplines: she is a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher
(RYT) and Movement Specialist who trained at the prestigious Laban Centre for
Movement and Dance in London and has vast experience teaching yoga. She offers bodywork/healing touch sessions for private clients, yoga classes for preschool age through seniors, and is an adjunct professor at Westchester Community College.
She draws her yoga experience from Kripalu Yoga,
Sivananda Yoga, and from her first yoga teacher Pat Laster. “Each day when I practice yoga I think of Pat Laster and remind myself what a beautiful life I have and say ‘Yes to Life’ as Pat Laster would say!”
“My extensive background in movement inspires me to teach from the soul, and make people feel comfortable with whatever bodies and minds they have. I feel very comfortable teaching different levels of yoga, including chair yoga, kids yoga, and traditional mat yoga. At the end of the day I want to inspire others to listen to their own bodies, to do the best they can, and enjoy moving while exercising body, mind and soul."
Whether an individual or group session, Michele designs a framework that keeps the student focused and grounded, and within it creates a dynamic experience that is spontaneous and creative.
“I want you to feel inspired to take care of your body and mind--yoga, or any wellness/fitness program is not a quick fix, but an opportunity to reach your fullest potential, whatever your goal!”
"Michele radiates joy throughout her class . . . She expresses with her body and voice her genuine love for yoga, movement, and meditation. Her pacing is just right for me. There's a beautiful balance of movement and stillness.” —Susan Rutman
